Thanks so much for reading and responding! It would also be great for the pump to last 2 years without issues. I'm looking for efficiency ++ pain-free pumping ++ being able to pump discretely on Zoom calls once I start work in a few weeks. Medella's Amazon reviews seem quite bad though the local distributor I'm considering buying from has promised me a quick replacement if it breaks down. Which one would you recommend - the Spectra Synergy Gold or the Medella Freestyle Flex? I can get the Medella pump locally in my country with a 1-year warranty but I'll need to ship the Spectra SG from the US so it won't have a warranty/local servicing.
Now that my brain's back on I want to invest in a pump system I can commit to for 2 years.
So now I have 2 single electric Avent pumps that take anywhere from 60-90 minutes each session to drain me completely (5-6 oz per session) and I'm losing my mind connected to pumps for 7 hours a day. LO was losing weight rapidly and I didn't want to go down the formula road unless I had to. I started off EPing with Phillips Avent pump because that's what the hospital pharmacy was selling and I had no time to order anything else. It's been 9 weeks PP for me and my premie LO is thriving despite not being able to latch on earlier on and not preferring to right now. But then I looked it up online and found plenty of help thankfully. Funny story - I thought I was somehow inventing exclusive pumping because NO ONE in the hospital I went to including 3 lactation consultants had heard of it and all thought I was mental for trying.
